Enter your step or porch height and we'll recommend the right ramp length.
Measure from the ground to the top of the highest step or landing.
A 1:12 slope means 12 inches of ramp for every inch of rise. The bigger the second number, the gentler the climb. Gentler is always safer, so verify local building code before installing.
| Slope | Incline | Intended Use |
|---|---|---|
| 1:12 | ≈4.8° | Independent wheelchair use. The ADA standard. |
| 1:6 | ≈9.5° | Steepest acceptable for an occupied chair or scooter, and only with a qualified helper. |
| 1:4 | ≈14° | Unoccupied transport only, with no one riding. |
Read the ratio as rise to length: 1:4 means every inch of rise needs 4 inches of ramp, so it climbs three times faster than 1:12. Some manufacturers write these same two slopes as 2:12 and 3:12, which are identical inclines in unreduced form.
Use the longest ramp your space allows and follow your equipment’s owner manual. A rise over 30 inches needs a landing or platform.
A lightweight, one-piece ramp channel for loading dirt bikes and bicycles into a truck bed, trailer, or van. At just 9 lb, it's easy to grab, position, and store—roll the bike up, then stow the channel out of the way until the next trip.
Built from tempered aluminum, the MR-6 resists the rust and corrosion that affect steel ramps in wet and outdoor conditions, so it holds up trip after trip with little maintenance. Like every Five Star ramp, it's MIG welded by Five Star Manufacturing's certified welders in Crane, Missouri, where the company has built aluminum products in the USA since 1984.
This product is backed by Five Star Manufacturing's 1-year limited warranty against defects in materials and workmanship. If a defect is confirmed, Five Star will—at its discretion—repair the product, replace it, or refund the original product value.
To support a claim, please hold on to the product, its packaging, and any paperwork until the claim has been reviewed and a resolution determined; Five Star may request the affected product for inspection. These ramps are built in the USA by a crew that takes real pride in their work, and the warranty reflects that confidence. Please contact Select Ramps at sales@selectramps.com to start the process.
