A yard ramp gives a site without a loading dock the same forklift access a dock provides. This HD Ramps modular aluminum system spans from ground level to a trailer or container floor at up to 30,000 lb, letting a forklift drive directly into a trailer at a yard, job site, or leased building where no permanent dock exists.

The system is built in two width and capacity configurations across three lengths, for six total combinations. The 84 in wide system is rated 15,000 lb per axle and 25,000 lb maximum vehicle weight; the 101 in wide system is rated 18,000 lb per axle and 30,000 lb maximum vehicle weight. Lengths are 15 ft 4 in, 22 ft 6 in, and 30 ft, reaching a maximum rise of 32 in, 48 in, and 60 in respectively.

Match length to rise before anything else. A 15 ft 4 in ramp at 32 in of rise and a 30 ft ramp at 60 in produce a comparable grade; using a short ramp at a tall deck steepens the climb and risks scraping loaded forks at the crest. Width follows the equipment: the 101 in system gives wider-track forklifts more margin on either side.

Setup is tool-free. Adjustable-height support stands set the crest to the trailer floor, and a knife-foot ground transition tapers thin at the bottom so the forklift rolls on without impact. Integrated guard rails run the length of both sides to keep equipment on the deck, and the EZ Traction punch-plate surface drains instead of pooling, holding grip in rain and snow.

Aluminum construction ranges from 834 lb for the smallest system to 2,307 lb for the largest — substantially lighter than steel yard ramps of comparable rating, which makes repositioning within a yard practical rather than a project. Aluminum also carries no rust risk in permanent outdoor placement.
