Enter your step or porch height and we'll recommend the right ramp length.
Measure from the ground to the top of the highest step or landing.
Why slope matters: ADA recommends 1:12 slope for independent wheelchair use (1 inch of rise per 12 inches of ramp). 2:12 is only appropriate with a caregiver; 3:12 only for unoccupied transport. Always verify local building code before installing.
The Rampit USA Aluminum Curb Wheelchair Ramp provides simple, reliable access wherever a permanent ramp isn't practical. The built-in adapter at the upper end hangs over a raised surface — door threshold, curb, deck edge, or loading dock — letting the ramp rest in place without legs or mounting hardware. Set it down, and it's ready to use.
Available in standard lengths from 2 to 8 feet and widths from 28" to 60", with optional matching handrails, the Curb Ramp covers most residential and light commercial entryways.
The Curb Ramp is fabricated from high-strength aluminum that won't rust or corrode outdoors. The extruded anti-slip tread surface provides traction for wheelchair wheels, walker feet, and scooter tires across all weather conditions. Two-inch integrated wheel guards run the full ramp length on both sides. A self-adjusting bevel transition plate at the base creates a smooth approach from any ground surface.
The built-in adapter at the upper end is sized to hang cleanly over standard residential and commercial threshold heights without modification.
Rated to support up to 1,000 lbs, the Curb Ramp handles power wheelchairs, mobility scooters, and caregiver-assisted transitions without flex or strain. The structural aluminum framework is built for repeated daily traffic.
Add handrails at order to enclose both sides of the ramp with smooth aluminum tubing matching the ramp finish. Handrail orders include the ramp, two ANSI loops, two square ends, eight end caps, and all mounting hardware. Handrails install during assembly with standard hand tools.
Rampit USA recommends 12 inches of ramp length for every 1 inch of rise, matching the ADA-recommended 1:12 slope. For a 6" rise, choose a 6 ft. ramp. For a 4" rise, a 4 ft. ramp. Use the slope calculator on this page to find the right length for your specific rise.
Choose the Curb Ramp when:
If the door swings outward over the ramp area and the threshold needs to remain clear for the door to operate, the Butt Ramp is the right choice — its legs hold the ramp in place without resting on the threshold itself.
